I can't say that I have read a book like this one, so I am going have to suggest some movies and actors to liken it too. Alan Arkin in The In-laws and Catch-22. Peter Sellers and the Pink Panther movies. Add a touch of the Carol Burnett show with equal parts of Laugh- In.....Yup, those are the ingredients. Magnifico!

I was not able to finish this book because I just didn't care what happened at the end. This is not the book for an avid reader. The writing is very simple, the plot is flimsy and the characters are shallow. There were a couple funny parts but that's the only positive thing I can say about this book.
Just came off of a great E-ticket ride! With its snappy dialogue, fine character development, and laugh-a-minute scenes, B.R. Snow's "Divorce Hotel" makes for a very, VERY enjoyable read. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!
Snow's latest novel is a hilarious commentary on the trials of divorced men. It's a book every woman should read to understand the male psyche, and a book every man should read to understand themselves. Beneath the cover of clever banter, Snow reveals the hearts and minds of men and chronicles their journey to self-discovery with his clever exposition and dialogue.
Loved the book - and have already downloaded another. Extremely funny, I even had to share some of the situations with those around me. More readers of these works will definitely be found - even if only with my own family and friends.
Like all the other reviews, there's only one word that summarizes Divorce Hotel Funny! Although there are a lot of characters to keep track of, they are each introduced and used such that you never lose track of who said what or why they would say that. The story weaves its way through the bitter husbands to the baffled husbands to better off without her husbands, all while leaving behind a trail of beer cans and pizza boxes. If you've ever been divorced, know someone who is divorced, or you've secretly thought about getting a divorce ( man or woman ), you'll find yourself laughing out loud while thinking, "Oh yeah, I know what he's talking about." Just a great, funny read.
This truly was one of those books I hated to finish!
Each character we met was fascinating, and the story spellbinding. It kept me laughing the enire way.
I hope we meet more patrons and keep in touch with those we had the pleasure of meeting this go round.

I have never been divorced. As I am writing this, my gorgeous, loving wife and I have been together for nearly 18 years. My parents are still married to each other. Come to think of it, none of my close friend's parents ever divorced, either. So why read a novel centered on a hotel which caters to the newly divorced? Simply put, the book was so outlandish and entertaining that I could not put it down!
In Divorce Hotel, Snow provides the reader with an entertaining perspective on relationships using a cast of odd-ball characters all brought together with only one thing in common Their wives have kicked them out of their homes and they have all come to the Divorce Hotel because they really have nowhere else to go. Wild things can happen when a bunch of newly-divorced people are all housed together, and rest assured the hotel is chockfull with craziness.
While some may find Snow's material a bit over-the-top in spots, the dialog remains fresh, sharp, and exceptionally witty throughout the book. Overall, Divorce Hotel is an absolute laugh-out-loud read to the end, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a comical satire focused on the silly side of split-ups. I guarantee that no matter what your experience is with divorce, you will be smiling and laughing as you read Divorce Hotel!
